Sporting a chequered shirt and a helmet, Amitabh Bachchan might look like an everyman uncleji here, but he was every bit the superstar off-camera when he landed in Burdwan’s Ausgram for Ribhu Dasgupta’s Te3n on Wednesday. READ: Massive crowd greets team 'Te3n' The shooting has been turned into a major administrative exercise, with police and private security guards throwing rings of security around the forest area, which is the location. Over 350 armed personnel, including those from Rapid Action Force (RAF), have been posted, confirmed sources. Traffic along the Guskara-Ilambazar road, which passes by the shooting spot, has been diverted.
Around 50 policemen were posted at the Bolpur hotel where Amitabh is putting up. They shooed mediapersons out of the hotel when there were rumours of the superstar’s arrival in the afternoon. However, Big B went straight to the shooting spot from Kolkata.
The police zeal is surprising in a district that has been driven by political violence followed by repeated allegations of police inaction, over the past many months. But Burdwan SP Kunal Aggarwal said, “All instructions on the security detail have come from Nabanna. The area is very sensitive, as the Maoist districts of Birbhum and Bankura are nearby. There are officers from Mumbai police here for close protection of Amitabh Bachchan.” Interestingly, the Gunday team — Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor — had shot in the same area last year, but the security cover was a fraction of what is being seen now.

@TOIEntertain Footnote: A group of private security guards posted at the shooting spot left on Wednesday after there was trouble over their working hours. They alleged that they had been working for over 24 hours without a break or adequate nourishments. This could not be confirmed from the production team.
